GG's Ginger Snaps

Ingredients

1⁄2 c
brown sugar
1⁄2 c
white sugar
2 c
flour
1 t
baking soda
1 t
salt
2 T
ginger powder (I haven't tried this with fresh ginger yet but should.)
1⁄2 t
clove (ground or allspice)
1⁄2 c
butter (soft)
1⁄2 c
molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 F
  2. Mix all the ingredients down to and including the clove
  3. Blend in the butter and molasses until uniform
  4. Roll thin on floured surface
  5. Cut and place onto cookie sheet
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes
  7. Cool on a rack.

Notes

If the cookies aren't crisp, try rolling them thinner next time.
